The RSA Trust is a charity funded by surpluses created by RSA Island Village Limited. It is based at the old Royal Small Arms Factory site in Enfield. The Grade 2 listed main machine shop was converted into a ‘village centre’ for Enfield Island Village, a housing development built on other parts of the large Royal Small Arms Factory site. Since 2004 the charity has distributed over £3,000,000 in grants to good causes in North London, including a grant of £14,000 to Chingford Model Engineering Club and £9,000 to Oxbridge Prospects: funding a residential course for young people from Waltham Forest that will aid their applications to Oxbridge Colleges. The Trust also manages a small heritage centre, celebrating the history of the Royal Small Arms Factory, employing a full time Heritage Manager. The Trust is kindly providing the services of its Heritage Manager on a pro bono basis.
